Importance of CTET & State TET Certificates
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE, and State TETs (UPTET, REET, MPTET, Bihar TET) are mandatory benchmark exams for candidates aspiring to teach in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), Army Public Schools, and State Government Schools.
Paper-1 vs Paper-2 Syllabus Matrix
- Paper-I (Primary Stage): For candidates intending to teach Classes I to V. Covers Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), Language I, and Language II.
- Paper-II (Elementary Stage): For candidates intending to teach Classes VI to VIII. Covers Child Development & Pedagogy, Mathematics & Science (for Science teachers) OR Social Studies/Social Science (for Arts teachers), Language I, and Language II.

CDP accounts for 30 marks in both papers and influences the pedagogical questions in other subjects. Focus on the following core areas:
- Educational Theorists: Jean Piaget's Cognitive Development Stages, Lev Vygotsky's Socio-Cultural Theory (ZPD & Scaffolding), and Lawrence Kohlberg's Moral Development Stages.
- Inclusive Education: Addressing needs of diverse learners, gifted children, creative students, and children with learning disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia).
- Constructivist Approach: Understanding active learning, child-centered classrooms, continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE), and National Education Policy (NEP 2020) recommendations.
